Travel Leaders to test Amadeus' new corporate desktop

By Nadine Godwin

Travel Leaders Corporate, Travel Leaders Group’s owned business travel operations, has signed on to be the first pilot user of the Amadeus One desktop.

Amadeus designed the desktop specifically for corporate travel agencies in North America.

In August, Amadeus announced the new desktop and said it was lining up agencies to be test sites. This week, Amadeus said it would add launch partners throughout 2010 and expects to make the product fully available across the U.S. in the second half of 2010.

Vic Pynn, executive vice president for Amadeus in the Americas, said working with agency launch partners would allow Amadeus to hone the solution for maximum benefit and value to customers.

Amadeus One features include the ability to customize many features and aggregate content from multiple sources outside the GDS.

Another feature is Amadeus’ proprietary Cryptic Magic, a patent-pending translation tool that enables an agent to work in any cryptic format but receive policy-compliant results in a graphical environment.

The Amadeus One desktop also includes the services of the newly launched Amadeus Travel Technology Consulting team.
