Ascend Collection adds four hotels

HotelCliftonChoice Hotels International’s Ascend Collection of upscale hotels added properties in the New York City borough of Queens, Miami Beach, Ottawa and Calgary.

The 114-room Hotel de Point, located about 10 minutes from LaGuardia Airport in Flushing, is the eighth New York hotel in the collection.

The Clifton Hotel South Beach has 35 rooms and is Miami Beach’s first LEED-certified building.

Ottawa’s 328-room National Hotel & Suites has 13,000 square feet of meeting space. Calgary’s Hotel Elan has 42 suites.

The Ascend Collection recently added its first Boston and New Orleans hotels.

Choice debuted the Ascend Collection as its upscale umbrella in 2008.
