The Bellagio hotel and casino completed a $70 million renovation that included upgrades to all 2,568 rooms in its main tower.
Rooms at the 14-year-old Las Vegas hotel now have three distinct design motifs, including two color palettes for its Resort King rooms and another for its Resort Queen rooms.
Hotel owner MGM Resorts International started the renovations last June.
With the remodel, MGM Resorts is looking to benefit further from a Las Vegas hotel market where demand is growing faster than supply. Through the first 10 months of last year, hotel occupancy advanced 3.9 percentage points from a year earlier, while room rates rose 11%, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Almost 33 million people visited Las Vegas in the first 10 months of 2011, up 4.5% from a year earlier.
In its third-quarter financial report, MGM said that Bellagio's revenue per available room was $222, a 19% jump. Occupancy was at almost 97% for the quarter.
