Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba will launch an adults-only policy, setting a minimum age requirement of 18 years for guests, effective Dec. 23.
It's all about enhancing the romance factor at the 104-room resort on Eagle Beach, according to resort owner Ewald Biemens.
"For years now, the majority of Bucuti’s guests have been couples looking for an upscale, quiet retreat. This new policy allows us to cater exclusively to this market," Biemans said.
The resort's current policy allows for a handful of rooms to accommodate one child in the Bucuti wing. The beachfront Tara suites with king-size beds and balconies or terraces have always been reserved for couples.
Once the new policy takes effect, children staying at other resorts on the island will still be allowed to dine at Bucuti's Pirates' Nest restaurant and attend wedding ceremonies on property.
