By Jerry Limone

Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts has agreed to manage a hotel scheduled to open in Chongqing, China, in late 2011.

The 469-room hotel will occupy the first 28 floors of a new, 58-story building that will also include office space and retail outlets.

Shangri-La said the hotel will have the largest standard guestrooms in the city, with a minimum room size of 484 square feet.
