InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) this week reached agreements for InterContinental properties in Thailand and Indonesia.
The InterContinental Phuket Rawai Beach Resort will be redeveloped at the site of the former Evason Phuket & Bon Island, which closed earlier this year after a decade in business.
The resort will have 240 rooms overlooking the Andaman Sea and will open in 2014.
The buildings on the 45-acre site will be redesigned by Bill Bensley, who also designed the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort in Vietnam.
The InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah will have 300 hotel rooms and 180 serviced residences.
