Element hotel brand to make Europe debut in 2014

By Danny King
Europe’s first hotel with Starwood's extended-stay Element brand will open in Frankfurt in 2014.

The Element Frankfurt Airport will have 133 rooms as well as a fitness center and meeting room. Frankfurt is Europe’s third-busiest airport.

Starwood launched the Element badge in 2008 and has 10 U.S. hotels. Starwood says Element is the only major hotel brand that mandates all properties to pursue LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification.
