The Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre, Marriott International's 18th and largest hotel in the city, is open for business.

The 720-room hotel, which overlooks People’s Square, includes more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space as well as five restaurants and lounges.

Among the restaurants is Inagiku, a century-old Japanese chain making its Shanghai debut in the 39-story hotel.

Marriott International now has 18 hotels in Shanghai, including the JW Marriott Hotel Shanghai at Tomorrow Square, the Portman Ritz-Carlton Shanghai and the Renaissance Shanghai Pudong.

Through the first eight months of the year, Marriott’s Asia-Pacific hotels boosted their revenue per available room by 11.4% from a year earlier, while worldwide RevPAR rose 6.7%.
