IHG opens first hotel in Denmark

By Jerry Limone

The Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers has opened in Denmark's capital. InterContinental Hotels Group, owner of the Crowne Plaza brand, said the hotel is IHG's first in Denmark.

The 366-room hotel has a Scandinavian restaurant as well as 38,000 square feet of meetings space (12 flexible meeting rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 800 guests).

The hotel also has green features: a groundwater-based cooling and heating system; low-energy lighting and hand dryers; and solar panels.
