Learn to ski guarantee at Va. resort

Newbies can get acquainted with winter sports at the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains with a program that offers a free second lesson if the first one didn't sink in.

Designed for first-timers age 6 and older for skiers, 8 and older for snowboarders, the Guaranteed Learn to Ski & Ride program starts at $64 for adults and $54 for youths, midweek.

The package includes a limited-area lift ticket, lesson and rental package as well as a Guaranteed Learn to Ski & Ride card, good for two return visits at discounted rates.
