Astor Crowne PlazaThe 693-room Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel, in the French Quarter in New Orleans, will go on the auction block on Aug. 22, according to Auction.com and investment banking firm Eastdil Secured.

The minimum bid for the Bourbon Street property is $105 million.

The 14-story hotel, which opened in 2002 at the corner of Bourbon and Canal streets, has a short-term franchise agreement with Crowne Plaza.

The new owner can rebrand the hotel and enter into a new franchise agreement or operate it as an independent property, according to Lawrence Wolfe, senior managing director of Eastdil Security.

In 2010, a multimillion-dollar renovation upgraded guestrooms and bathrooms, expanded the executive club and renovated the fitness center and meeting space.
