Park Hyatt brand headed to St. Kitts

By Gay Nagle Myers
Hyatt Hotels Corp. signed a management agreement with Dubai-based Range Developments for a Park Hyatt hotel in St. Kitts.

The property is slated to open in 2015 on Banana Bay in the 2,500-acre Christophe Harbour planned community under development on the island's southeast coast.

The Park Hyatt St. Kitts will feature 200 guestrooms and 50 Park Hyatt-branded residential condominiums. The first phase will include 125 guestrooms, two food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, a spa with 12 treatment rooms and more than 7,000 square feet of meetings space.

The second phase will include the remaining 75 guestrooms and a third restaurant.

Hyatt currently has three branded properties in the Caribbean with Hyatt Regencies in Trinidad, Aruba and Curacao. Under development are the Hyatt Park Bermuda, Andaz Turks and Caicos, Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in Nassau and Hyatt Place Bayamon and El Tropical Casino in Puerto Rico.
