Riu Hotels & Resorts will open its first property in Panama, the 645-room Riu Panama Plaza, in Panama City on Sept. 13.
The hotel is located in the financial district of Panama City and is targeted at the business sector with meeting and event space, conference rooms and the Riu Class lounge for guests in the executive rooms and suites.
Facilities include 24-hour room service, an outdoor pool, gym and spa, three restaurants and WiFi in rooms and public spaces.
