Riu Hotels & Resorts plans to open the Riu Palace Antillas on Aruba's Palm Beach next winter.
The 482-room resort, the former Westin Aruba, is undergoing a $60 million renovation and will become an adults-only all-inclusive resort. Last November, Riu reached an agreement to operate the property.
Facilities will include a buffet restaurant and three specialty restaurants, several bars and lounges, a 24-hour patisserie-café, live entertainment, a nightclub and a casino.
It is adjacent to its sister resort, the Riu Palace Aruba. Guests at both resorts will have access to the facilities at each resort.
