Commune Hotels & Resorts, parent of Thompson Hotels and Joie de Vivre Hotels, will add a Miami Beach property under the Roosevelt brand.

Commune co-chairman and Hyatt scion John Pritzker paid $100 million for the building and will spend another $67 million turning the property into the 388-room Roosevelt Miami Beach, which is scheduled open late next year.

Thompson Hotels manages the 86-year-old Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles as well as Miami’s Hotel Victor.
