Seattle’s first SLS luxury-boutique hotel will open in 2016, after SLS parent SBE reached an agreement with real estate investment firm Stockbridge Capital Group and developer Daniels Real Estate.
The 184-room SLS Hotel Seattle will occupy 14 floors of a building in downtown Seattle that will also include office space. The hotel will have more than 30,000 square feet of restaurants and bars as well as more than 20,000 square feet of meeting space.
SBE, which also operates the Redbury in Los Angeles, also said this week that it broke ground on its redevelopment of the former Sahara Hotel & Casino. The 1,600-room SLS Las Vegas Hotel & Casino is slated to open in fall 2014.
Earlier this year, SBE said it would also launch a new boutique brand based on the newly acquired Raleigh hotel in Miami Beach’s South Beach district. The company is also developing its first New York City hotel at the corner of Park Avenue South and East 30th Street.
