Travora acquires Nile Media

Travel ad platform Travora Media has acquired Nile Media for an undisclosed amount.

Nile Media is a San Francisco-based company with three websites (NileGuide, 10Best and Localyte) and mobile apps focused on providing local expertise to travelers.

Nile Media adds over a million travelers to the Travora audience of more than 26 million travel consumers, Travora said.

Travora CEO Nan Forte said the acquisition enables Travora to “deliver more authentic travel-content experiences to our users and sponsors.”

Former Nile Media CEO Josh Steinitz will become chief revenue officer and executive vice president of business development for Travora.

New York-based Travora’s customers include Viator, Rand McNally, Let’s Go, Wanderfly and GuidePal. Travora changed its name from Travel Ad Network last fall.
