Adventure travel company Austin-Lehman Adventures will acquire Go South Adventures on Aug. 1 for an undisclosed price.
Go South Adventures is a Seattle-based small-group tour operator that specializes in trips to the Galapagos, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Antarctica.
Billings, Mont.-based Austin-Lehman doesn’t currently offer Antarctica, so that will be a new destination for the company.
Eventually, Go South Adventures will be integrated into the Austin-Lehman brand, similar to what the company did after acquiring Euro-Bike and Walking Tours in 2008.
Go South Adventures owner Troy Glennon will join Austin-Lehman’s research and development and sales team as an expert on Central and South America travel.
