Pleasant Holidays launches domestic program

By Michelle Baran

After more than 50 years of taking people to tropical destinations, Pleasant Holidays has added the continental U.S. to its destination portfolio.

The Westlake Village, Calif.-based tour operator now offers packages to Arizona, California, Nevada and Florida, having added 116 hotels and resorts within those states to its supplier lineup.

"This is phase one of our domestic program, with other destinations to be added throughout 2011," Pleasant CEO Jack Richards said in a statement. "The United States has a rich and varied landscape that offers vacation opportunities year-round for travelers of all ages."

In Arizona, destinations include Phoenix, Scottsdale and Sedona; in California, Los Angeles, Anaheim and Orange County beaches, Palm Springs, San Diego, San Francisco, Monterey, Napa Valley and Sonoma; in Nevada, Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe; and in Florida, Miami, South Beach and Orlando.

In addition to hotels, Pleasant offers flights as well as car rentals from Hertz. Vacations are available at PleasantAgent.com or through the call center at (800) 448-3333.
