ARC to no longer require return of unused ticket stock

By Bill Poling

Continuing its efforts to reduce administrative burdens for travel agents, ARC is eliminating the long-standing requirement that agents ship unused or expired paper ticket stock back to ARC.

Effective April 12, agents will be able to simply destroy unused tickets and file an affidavit listing the ticket stock control numbers.

ARC said its "destruction guidelines" are in the Industry Agents’ Handbook (Section 3.6).

"With this policy change agents will no longer incur the expense of securing and shipping their unused stock to ARC," ARC said.
