US Airways on Wednesday began selling its Choice Seats option through "a limited number of travel agencies" via the Sabre global distribution system, according to carrier president Scott Kirby.
The airline has been working with Sabre for more than two years to allow travel agencies' customers to reserve for a fee certain aisle or window seats in economy class on some flights.
According to a Sabre spokeswoman, the current "beta test" will run for a few weeks, followed by "a phased, global rollout."
