The Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort & Spa on Providenciales will open its 162-suite Italian Village addition in December as part of the resort's $125 million expansion project at the 453-room resort.

The Italian Village will have its own lobby, four restaurants, retail shops and a 45,000-square-foot water park that will be 10 times the size of the existing Pirate's Island water park.The water park will offer a standing wave machine for surfing and wave riding.

The new family suites will include a bedroom for adults, a second bedroom with bunk beds, an XBox 360 videogame console and a plasma TV.
