All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines grounded their respective Boeing 787 fleets after an emergency landing by ANA, the latest of several recent incidents involving the aircraft.
JAL on its website confirmed that it canceled operations on 787 aircraft through Friday, while ANA noted that its 787 fleet "will remain grounded until the safety is assured."
The U.S. Department of Transportation last week ordered a "comprehensive review" of Boeing 787 aircraft following other incidents.
