At the Third Ring Road, this property ranks with the best here—high on service, with luxuriously large guest rooms, a fine garden court and excellent dining.

The location on Beijing's northwest side, with few hotels, can be a drawback, but the Beijing Zoo, New Economic Zone and Summer Palace are close by, and the ring road makes getting around relatively easy except during rush hour.

Entrance to the 24-story tower is through an elegant low-ceilinged marble lobby. The use of art is excellent...
