DoubleTree by Hilton has opened a hotel in Veracruz, located across from the beach overlooking the harbor. DoubleTree by Hilton Veracruz (www.doubletreeveracruz.com) is eight miles from the airport, 1.5 miles from downtown and 5.5 miles from the city of Boca del Rio, a center of business, shopping and recreation.
The nine-story building has 226 rooms with views of the ocean and harbor. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, the Sweet Dreams bed by DoubleTree Sleep Experience and bathrooms with amenities from Aroma Actives; complimentary WiFi is available in rooms and public areas. There is also 19,000 square feet of space for events and conventions.
The hotel's Enxebre restaurant serves an international menu along with traditional dishes from the region. Bar 47 serves up signature cocktails and ocean views.
