Norwegian Air is once again its expanding its U.S. route
map.
On Monday, the low-cost carrier said it would begin a weekly
flight between Orlando and Paris on July 31. Fares for the new route, to be
operated with a two-cabin Boeing 787 Dreamliner, start at $229 one-way.
The announcement comes four months after Norwegian began
operations between Paris and New York, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale.
"The Paris routes have been outperforming our expectations
since we launched the service this past summer," the carrier said.
As a result, Norwegian said it would increase frequency on
two of those existing routes beginning in July.
The Paris-New York flight will go from three times per week
to daily and the Los Angeles-Paris flight will be offered four times weekly, up
from twice per week.
Norwegian had previously announced that it would begin
serving Barcelona from Los Angeles, Newark, Oakland and Fort Lauderdale next
summer.
