A Conrad luxury hotel is scheduled to open as part of Washington's CityCenterDC mixed-use district in 2019.

The Conrad Washington D.C., which broke ground last week, will have 360 guestrooms and 30,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The hotel, which is being developed by Hines and the Qatar Investment Authority, will also have a restaurant by "Top Chef" contestant Bryan Voltaggio.

Hines and the Qatar Investment Authority opened the first phase of CityCenterDC in early 2014. That phase included 191,000 square feet of retail space and 674 condominiums and apartments.
