Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts
has opened a luxury hotel that was built around a Kyoto pond garden that dates
back to the 12th century.
The Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto,
located in the Japanese city’s temple district, features 123 rooms, including a
2,600-square-foot presidential suite, and 57 residences. Room amenities
include polished woods and shoji panels, while the 5-acre property has a
66-foot-long indoor pool.
The resort boasts a brasserie as
well as a high-end sushi restaurant that limits diners to 10 guests per seating.
Amenities also include guest
access to “Experience Creator” and Kyoto native Hana Morioka, who can arrange
for activities such as rickshaw tours, ninja training sessions and Kiyomizo
ceramics classes.
Four Seasons also operates the 57-room
Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi.
