Rosewood Hotels & Resorts has brought its brand to the
Bahamas with the opening of Rosewood Baha Mar in Nassau.
The Rosewood is the third hotel to open at the Baha Mar
resort. The Grand Hyatt and SLS hotels opened last June and November,
respectively.
The Rosewood Baha Mar has 237 guestrooms, suites and
beachfront villas. Rosewood said many of the guestrooms and suites can be
connected to adjacent rooms for multi-room configurations. All accommodations
have private balconies, furnished outdoor living areas and butlers. The villas --
one with six bedrooms, and three with three bedrooms -- have private plunge
pools.
The rooms are outfitted in blues, corals and lavenders, with
artwork by Bahamian artists. Accents like woven rattans help accent the hotel's
"Bahamian aesthetic," Rosewood said.
The property has 12 meetings and event spaces -- including a
4,950-square-foot ballroom, meeting rooms, boardrooms and a private dining room.
There are four dining venues at the property. Farm-to-table
restaurant Commonwealth has a private Rum Room for exclusive dinners. Costa
serves "coastal cuisine with a Mexican twist" outdoors. At Manor Bar,
guests can enjoy cocktails, and the Library features afternoon tea, champagne,
sweet and savory pastries, and desserts.
The Rosewood Baha Mar also features Sense, a Rosewood Spa; a
fitness center; direct and private beach access; two swimming pools; and luxury
cabanas.
