VISITSCOTLAND IS PROMOTING two new daily nonstop flights from the southern U.S. to Scotland. Delta Air Lines new service, which kicked off June 5, operates from Atlantas Hartsfield-Jackson Airport to Edinburgh Airport, marking the carriers first entry into the Scottish market. Scottish airline Flyglobespan began service from Orlando Sanford Airport to Glasgow Airport June 2. No-frills class is priced from $175 one way, including all taxes; premier pricing starts at $339; business seats are priced from $599.

TIMED TO COINCIDE WITH THE WORLD CUP events in Germany, the $890 million Berlin Hauptbahnhof opened May 26 after a 10-year construction project. Europes newest and largest rail station, Berlin Hbf is expected to serve 300,000 people a day with 1,500 departures of local, regional and long-distance trains. Also new is the countrys fifth high-speed rail line, which will be fully operational in December, cutting travel time between Nuremburg to Munich to one hour. GO BARGING TRIMMED RATES BY $650 per person on a six-night cruise through the south of France on its Aug. 27 departure aboard LImpressionniste barge. DESIGN HOTELS, A BERLIN-BASED COMPANY that represents more than 140 hotels worldwide, marked the grand opening of The Levante Parliament hotel in Vienna.
