THE LEADING TRAVEL COS. will host a series of seminars to educate travel agents about the various companies under their umbrella and how to take their businesses to the next level. NACTA membership has doubled in the last year to 4,000 travel sellers, said Joanie Ogg, president. The group will expand the reach of its annual national meeting, formerly the NACTA Conference and now the Home-Based Agent Summit. The summit is open to all home-based agents. The event is set for Nov. 29 in Fort Lauderdale.

DATEBOOK: Cruise University, the travel agent training program for U.S. and Canadian retailers, will be held aboard the Carnival Spirit on a sailing from Vancouver, May 9 to 16. Along with onboard training, the CVBs in Vancouver, Juneau, Skagway and Ketchikan will host seminars for participating agents.
