THE
HOME-BASED Success Series, a cooperative educational
program between NACTA, Globus, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity,
released its fall schedule. The series brings four-hour training
seminars to at-home retailers around the country. Registration is
required by Oct. 13, and there's a $15 charge that covers the
seminar and breakfast. Dates and locations are: Oct. 16,
Minneapolis; Oct. 17, New Orleans; Oct. 18, San Antonio; Oct. 19,
Albuquerque, N.M.; and Oct. 20, Las Vegas. Sign-up information is

THE NEW
ERRORS-AND-OMMISSIONS coverage offered by Travel
Professionals Insurance Network was approved for sale in 41 states
and the District of Columbia, leaving nine where approvals are
still sought: Alaska, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New
York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. TPIN
launched three E&O products in May. In some states, TPIN
allows agents with $5 million or less in annual gross receipts to
apply for and pay premiums online by credit card at www.taprotect.com.
VIRTUOSO began recruiting independent
agents with an e-mail blast to 20,000 retailers. Mark Belles,
executive vice president of sales and service, said the effort was
part of a multi-pronged initiative to locate independent agents who
could affiliate with current Virtuoso agency members. Belles said
there are "about 200 new people in the pipeline" so far.
DATEBOOK: The Williamsburg, Va., OSSN
chapter will feature Carnival Cruise Line during its Oct. 17
meeting. The gathering is at 7 p.m. at the James City/Williamsburg
Community Center, in Williamsburg. There is no admission charge.
