THE HOME-BASED Success Series, a cooperative educational program between NACTA, Globus, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, released its fall schedule. The series brings four-hour training seminars to at-home retailers around the country. Registration is required by Oct. 13, and there's a $15 charge that covers the seminar and breakfast. Dates and locations are: Oct. 16, Minneapolis; Oct. 17, New Orleans; Oct. 18, San Antonio; Oct. 19, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Oct. 20, Las Vegas. Sign-up information is at www.nacta.com.

THE NEW ERRORS-AND-OMMISSIONS coverage offered by Travel Professionals Insurance Network was approved for sale in 41 states and the District of Columbia, leaving nine where approvals are still sought: Alaska, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. TPIN launched three E&O products in May.  In some states, TPIN allows agents with $5 million or less in annual gross receipts to apply for and pay premiums online by credit card at www.taprotect.com.

VIRTUOSO began recruiting independent agents with an e-mail blast to 20,000 retailers. Mark Belles, executive vice president of sales and service, said the effort was part of a multi-pronged initiative to locate independent agents who could affiliate with current Virtuoso agency members. Belles said there are "about 200 new people in the pipeline" so far.
