Anguilla hotels are gearing up for the winter season with renovations and upgrades, according to Candis Niles, director of the Anguilla Tourist Board.
Malliouhana Hotel & Spa will reopen in February under the Auberge brand, following a multimillion-dollar rebuild.
The 62-room resort, closed since May 2011, was purchased earlier this year by Chicago-based AJ Capital Partners.
Malliouhana opened for business in November 1984 and was known as the flagship of Anguilla's luxury product for a number of years.
The 19-room Frangipani Beach Resort is renovating its pool, as is Anguilla Great House.
CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa is moving toward phase two of The Reef, a new 62-room property with a projected opening date of 2015.
The new hotel will be part of the CuisinArt development but will be in a separate location near the resort's 18-hole golf course.
Target markets will include golf, weddings and small groups, Niles said.
