Cayman -- More resorts have reopened on Grand Cayman as the island
enters its fifth month of hurricane recovery.
Here is an
update:
" All 74 beachfront
luxury suites and condo units at The Reef Resort on the East End
reopened Jan. 29. New features include WiFi coverage on the beach.
The propertys renovated Castros Hideaway
restaurant and beach bar, home of the famous Barefoot Man
entertainer, reopened in December. For

" The 300-room
Westin Casaurina Resort & Spa, which reopened in November, also
recently installed high-speed Internet access and is building a new
business center and will launch a new menu at Casa Havana
restaurant this year. The resorts
Hibiscus Spa, meanwhile, created a mini membership program, priced
at $460 for five one-hour treatments, that includes use of either
the sauna, steam or relaxation rooms or the Jacuzzi. For details, visit www.westincasuarina.com.
" The 53 renovated
Beach Suites at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman, which reopened in
mid-December, now offer WiFi access in the suites, on the sun and

Additional
properties that are open include several Cayman Villas properties
[www.caymanvillas.com], the Courtyard by Marriott, the
Cobalt Coast Resort, the Avalon Condominiums, the Compass Point,
the Kaibo Yacht Club, the Silver Sands, the Turtle Nest Inn and the
Villa Bellagio.
According to the
tourist board, all major attractions on Grand Cayman have reopened
as have 95 restaurants in George Town, 33 on Seven Mile Beach,
seven in West Bay, and two each in Bodden Town, East Side and North
Side.
