The St. Regis Bermuda Resort debuted today in the historic Town of St. George in the parish of the same name in the island's East End.
The property marks the first Marriott International luxury brand property to open in Bermuda.
Located along the arc of St. Catherine's Beach, the resort features 120 guestrooms, including 21 suites and a residential development offering two- and three-bedroom residences.
"With bespoke service, exquisite design, outstanding culinary venues and the historic Five Forts Golf Course, we hope to contribute to the local hospitality landscape and help elevate luxury in this leisure destination," said Jan Vanhaelewyn, general manager.
Food and beverage venues include Lina, an all-day restaurant whose name is a nod to the nickname of St. Regis' founding patroness, Caroline Astor. In the evening, the signature blackboards of BLT Steak NY share daily specials and steakhouse fare.
The iconic St. Regis Bar features Champagnes, libations and light bites. The Gates Bay Mary is the resort's unique twist on the bloody mary.
Facilities include both an adult and a family pool, the St. Regis Spa, a 24-hour fitness center, the St. Regis Children's Club and a program of excursions called Family Traditions.
The Five Forts Golf Course, named for the five forts that surround the 18-hole course, offers GPS-enabled golf carts to ensure that the resort's bespoke services reach golfers no matter where they are on the green.
The 5,500-square-foot casino, slated to open later this year, is the brand's first casino.
Rates in June start at $910 per room, per night, double; in July, the starting rate for a limited ocean-view room is $750 and for the ocean-view suite with king bed. the rate starts at $1,900 per room, per night, double.
