FORT LAUDERDALE — Celebrity Cruises will launch its 2015 Wave season promotion almost two months before the start of next year, with a upmarket version of 123Go aimed at its concierge-class cabins.
The 123Go All Inclusive package opens for sale today, and bundles all three of the amenities in 123Go with the cruise fare for staterooms in concierge class and above.
The traditional 123Go package, which allows a choice of either a beverage package, free gratuities or a $300 onboard credit (choice of two for European sailings) will continue to be offered on outside and balcony cabins.
Free companion air for guests buying a suite will continue.
“This is going to be our Wave offer,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president of sales at Celebrity.
“We’re launching significantly earlier than last year,” Ritzenthaler said, in part so that the details can be outlined at Travel Weekly’s CruiseWorld conference, which starts today in Fort Lauderdale.
The promotion will run through Jan. 4.
“We made the decision we wanted to do this when families are together and they’re thinking about what their vacation is going to be for 2015,” she said.
In addition, Ritzenthaler said Celebrity is opening bookings for 2016-17 cruises four months earlier than in previous years. Bookings for Europe will open Nov. 11 for loyalty program guests and Nov. 14 for regular guests, compared to the traditional window being the spring of next year.
In 2016, the line will go to 286 ports, seven of them new, and offer overnight stays in 48 cities and two-night stays in 8.
On 11 cruises, it will build packages around events, such as Mardi Gras in New Orleans in February and the running of the bulls event in Pamplona, Spain, in July.
In the winter of 2016-17, Celebrity Constellation will be moved out of the Caribbean for a six-month season in Abu Dhabi.
“We’ve never done that before. It’s a really neat opportunity for us,” Ritzenthaler said.
