LONDON -- The delivery of the Coral Princess has been delayed for a
second time, Princess Cruises said, citing additional work that
needs to be done to the ship at Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard.
The Dec. 24 inaugural cruise has now been pushed to Jan. 3;
guests booked on the canceled sailing will receive a full refund
and a future cruise credit.
The ship's original Dec. 14 Panama Canal voyage was canceled in
November after "unexpected delays" cropped up at the yard, the line
has said. Agent commissions are protected in both cases.
Phil Kleweno, Princess' president, said the line "sincerely
regrets any disruption to our valued passengers' holiday
plans."
