Familiar Ship Plans Return

MIAMI -- A familiar face will return to the Alaska cruise fleet this summer.

The Crown Majesty, formerly known as the Crown Dynasty when operated by Cunard, has been acquired under charter from Cunard by Majesty Cruise Line, effective March 1.

The ship, which served Alaskan waters after being built in 1993, recently traveled the Panama Canal schedule but will return to Alaska on May 17.

Its maiden Majesty voyage will be a nine-day Los Angeles-Vancouver, British Columbia, sailing by way of San Francisco; Victoria, British Columbia; the Inside Passage, and Ketchikan.

The 800-passenger vessel will be in a pattern of seven-night cruises across the Gulf of Alaska between Vancouver and Seward and the Inside Passage, starting and ending in Vancouver.

Depending on the departure date, the voyage will call at Skagway, Juneau, Wrangell, Ketchikan and Sitka. Prices start at $799 per person, double.

For reservations, call (800) 222-1003.
