Mariner of the Seas' maiden voyage pushed up

MIAMI -- Royal Caribbean International moved the date for the maiden voyage of the Mariner of the Seas to Nov. 16, a week earlier than previously announced.

The itinerary will include Nassau, Bahamas; San Juan; and Philipsburg, St. Maarten.

The 3,114-passenger, 142,000-ton Mariner of the Seas, which will be the largest ship to sail from Port Canaveral, will begin regularly scheduled voyages Nov. 23 with eight-day itineraries alternating between the eastern and western Caribbean.

The eastern itinerary stops in Nassau; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Philipsburg. The western itinerary stops in Labadee, Haiti; Ocho Rios, Jamaica; George Town, Cayman Islands; and Cozumel, Mexico.
