For the first time, Royal Caribbean will base a ship in San Diego

Royal Caribbean International will homeport in San Diego for the first time in late 2026. 

The Serenade of the Seas will sail three-, four- and seven-night Mexican Riviera cruises. Mexico ports of call include La Paz, Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.

Following a summer season in Alaska, the Serenade will homeport in San Diego from October 2026 to April 2027.

Royal Caribbean's Ovation of the Seas will sail three-, five-, and six-night voyages from Los Angeles this June to September. The Ovation will return in September of 2026 to sail three-, four- and seven-night cruises out of L.A. until April 2027.
