Ruby Princess to debut in Caribbean in 2008

Princess Cruises will add another ship to its fleet, the Ruby Princess, in November 2008, the line said June 4. The new ship, sister to the Emerald Princess and Crown Princess, will spend its inaugural season operating seven-day western Caribbean itineraries from Fort Lauderdale through April 2009.

Its maiden sailing will be Nov. 15, 2008 and will feature calls at Ocho Rios, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; Cozumel, Mexico; and the line's private beach at Princess Cays in the Bahamas.

The new vessel will share many of the same features of its sister ships, including the piazza-style atrium with small-bite eateries; Sabatini's Italian trattoria; the Crown Grill steak and seafood restaurant; and an adults-only, quiet outdoor area called the Sanctuary.
