BEDARRA ISLAND, Great Barrier Reef -- P&O Australian Resorts
completed a $1 million renovation at its Bedarra Island resort
here.
Public areas now have new ottomans, tables, chairs and light
fixtures, and the 15 villas have new chairs, armchairs and
decorations.
Also, the pool area was extended and the restaurant was
redecorated.
Bedarra Island is off the Queensland coast, halfway between
Townsville and Cairns.
Rates start at about $420 per night, per person, and include
accommodations, all meals and free drinks at the bar, which is open
24 hours a day.
A three-night package includes the nightly rate and a one hour
massage for $1,150 per person, per night.
