As
the 2006 Atlantic Hurricane Season stretches on into the peak
months, expect more and more suppliers to offer hurricane
cancellation policies. The latest additions to
the ever-growing list of companies include Disney Destinations and
the Walt Disney Travel Co.
In the event a
hurricane warning is issued by the National Hurricane Center for
the Orlando area or for the guests place of residence within seven
days of the scheduled arrival date, the guest can reschedule or
cancel the Disney vacation package without any fees.
The policy also
applies to most WDW Resort room-only reservations booked directly
with Disney as well as reservations at Disneys Vero Beach Resort in
Vero Beach, Fla., or Disneys Hilton Head Resort in Hilton Head,
S.C., if a hurricane warning is issued for those
destinations.
Guests who purchased
packages that include products or services provided by airlines,
hotels, car rental agencies or vacation insurance companies will
continue to be responsible for any non-refundable payments plus
cancellation and change fees assessed by the suppliers.
For a complete
description of the policy, visit www.disneyworld.com and click on Tropical Weather
Policy under Plan and Prepare.
