ORLANDO -- Walt Disney World Resort unveiled a Disney Fairytale
Vacation Package designed to jump-start the market in the aftermath
of the Iraq war.
The package includes seven nights for the price of four, with
unlimited admission to Disney's four Orlando theme parks and two
water parks.
Walt Disney Travel Co. president Randy Garfield said a TV
campaign to promote the package will be the first time Disney
launched a TV marketing promotion for a specific offer.
The TV promotion will target Disney's 25 top markets. A Sunday
travel section print campaign will be launched in major newspapers
in the company's top 35 markets.
Under the terms of the offer, prices start at $499 per adult for
July 4 to Aug. 23 and Oct. 2 to Oct. 30 travel, which is said to be
a $275 reduction.
Prices for juniors children ages 10 to 17 begin at $266, which
is a $99 reduction, and for children age 3-9, at $212, an $80
savings.
The special also includes one framed character art piece per
booked room.
To qualify, packages must be booked by June 29.
