LAKE BUENA VISTA -- The Walt Disney Travel Co. reminded agents that
they can reserve seats for the Atlanta Braves' spring training
baseball games, March 2 to 29, when they book commissionable Disney
Florida vacations.
The Braves play at their 9,500-seat stadium at the Disney Wide
World of Sports Complex. The baseball tickets (not commissionable)
cost $17.
Games scheduled include: March 2, 1 p.m., University of Georgia;
March 3, Kansas City Royals, 1 p.m.; March 5, Tampa Bay Devil Rays,
1 p.m.; March 8, Toronto Blue Jays, 1 p.m.; March 9, Los Angeles
Dodgers, 1 p.m.; March 10, New York Mets, 1 p.m., and March 11,
Florida Marlins, 1 p.m.
Also: March 12, Cleveland Indians, 1 p.m.; March 14, Detroit
Tigers, 7 p.m.; March 17, New York Yankees, 1 p.m.; March 21,
Florida Marlins, 7 p.m.; March 24, Pittsburgh Pirates, 1 p.m.;
March 25, Kansas City Royals, 1 p.m.; March 27, Houston Astros, 7
p.m., and March 29, Los Angeles Dodgers, 1 p.m.
In other add-on news, the Walt Disney Travel Co. expanded the
availability of beach resorts from seven to 13 for its Sand 'n Surf
package option sold in conjunction with Walt Disney World
Vacations.
The six new Florida properties are: Bahama House, Daytona Beach;
Embassy Suites Deerfield Beach Resort; Sonesta Beach Resort Key
Biscayne; Naples Beach Hotel and Golf Club; Marriott's Key Largo
Bay Beach Resort, and the Palm Beach Hilton Oceanfront Resort.
Properties continuing in the program are: Marco Island Radisson
Suite Beach Resort; South Seas Resort, Captiva Island; the Don
CeSar Beach Resort and TradeWinds Resort, both on St. Petersburg
Beach, and the Sheraton Sand Key Resort and Hilton Clearwater Beach
Resort, both Clearwater Beach., and Disney's Vero Beach
