REDMOND, Wash. -- Angler's Choice Lodge, a short seaplane ride from
Juneau, will offer packages of four, five and seven nights next
summer, starting at $1,859 per person, double for four nights.
The five-nighter costs $2,295 per person, double, and the
eight-night package is priced at $3,895 per person, double.
The lodge is in the middle of some of the finest fishing grounds
in Alaska. Packages include air transportation from Juneau; all
meals; tackle and bait; fishing guide; all necessary weather gear,
and filleting, freezing and packaging of the day's catch.
Among the species that abound near the lodge are several kinds
of salmon, halibut, lingcod and rockfish.
The boats used to transport guests to the prime fishing grounds
have heated cabins.
The facility, a floating resort, accommodates 16 guests at a
time and offers travel agents a 50% discount fam rate based on
space availability.
