LAS VEGAS -- Imperial Palace Hotel & Casino here will open its first out-of-state expansion property this summer, a full-service destination hotel-casino on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Biloxi's back bay.

Work is nearing completion on Imperial Palace Biloxi, and a grand opening date has been set for the Fourth of July weekend, when the casino and a portion of the adjacent hotel will be unveiled.

Among the key features of Imperial Palace Biloxi will be a three-story floating casino, housing 70,000 square feet of gaming space; a hotel; restaurants and lounges; retail outlets, and an 800-seat production showroom.

The 24-hour gaming facility will offer table games, slot machines, keno, poker and a sports bar.

The adjacent 29-story Imperial Palace tower will unveil 15 floors with approximately 600 guest rooms during the grand opening in July.

In addition to guest rooms and suites, the hotel will house more than 20,000 square feet of meeting and convention facilities, a movie theater complex, a health and fitness spa and a variety of specialty restaurants and lounges.

A luxury pool area will be situated on top of a 12-story parking garage that will accommodate 3,000 cars.

Additionally, the parking garage will showcase a 100-car display from the Imperial Palace Antique and Classic Auto Collection.

The hotel complex, which will contain 1,032 guest rooms, is scheduled for completion Oct. 1.
