Kids have their own passport program: Travel Weekly

ow kids don't have to leave the country to fill their passports with stamps.

The TripKid Souvenir Passport Stamp Program enables children to fill a notebook, postcard or specially-designed "passport" with customized rubber stamps or stickers from a selection of kid-friendly/child-oriented museums, zoos and attractions around the U.S.

The database of attractions that have agreed to stamp the passports is available on line at www.tripkids.com.

The stamp program is designed to accompany the TripKid Travel Buddy, a 15-inch, soft-bodied doll that comes with its own backpack containing a souvenir passport and three blank travel journals.

The travel journals feature packing lists, travel games and journal-writing tips, while the passport includes a U.S. map and state stickers.

The doll, available with blond or brown hair, can be purchased on the Web site for $14.95; individual passports are available for $5.95.
