NEW YORK -- Looking to spread the word about Monaco's growing tourism infrastructure, the principality's tourist office here will hold six morning and evening educational seminars for agents on the East Coast in September.

The trade events -- scheduled for Boston, Philadelphia, Washington and the New York area -- will focus on Monaco's expanding hotel product (set to increase by one-third by 2006), discounted vacation packages and the Monaco Government Tourist Office's efforts at agent outreach, such as its "Monaco Savvy" online referral system and its Web Travel Agent Club and Travel Agents Sales Guide.

Representatives from some of Monaco's top hotels -- such as the Columbus Monaco, Le Metropol Palace and Monte Carlo Grand Hotel -- will be in attendance. The seminar schedule is as follows:
• Boston: Sept. 22; 5:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.; at the Le Meridien Boston.
• Tarrytown, N.Y.: Sept. 23; 5:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.; at the Tarrytown Hilton.
• New York City: Sept. 24; 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.; at the Monaco Government Tourist Office.
• Philadelphia.: Sept. 25; 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.; at the Westin Philadelphia.
• Washington.: Sept. 26; 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.; at the Hotel Monaco Washington.

The seminars are free but reservations are required, as space is limited; agents can register at www.visitmonaco.com/seminar or call (800) 753-9696, Ext. 303.
