NEW YORK -- In an effort to boost business, New York restaurants
will launch an "I Love NY Restaurant Week" promotion Oct. 15 to 21.
During this time, dozens of the city's restaurants will offer
prix-fixe, three-course lunches for $20.01 and, for the first time,
dinners for $30.01.
In related news, Tim Zagat, the publisher of the Zagat
restaurant guides, announced he will donate 10,000 copies of the
Zagat 2002 New York City restaurant guide to top restaurants to be
sold for $20.01 on Oct. 11.
Proceeds from the sale will go to the Windows of Hope Family
Relief Fund, which is expected to net more than $200,000 from the
sale.
